The new millennium certainly saw British actresses making an impact in Hollywood. Following in the footsteps of multiple-Oscar nominees Kate Winslet and Emily Watson, came Kate Beckinsale, a resurgent Julia Ormond and, of course, that scourge of mummies everywhere, Rachel Weisz.
